If i changes anything this is the first laptop i have tried downloading this on to, but it should work just as well as a desktop since its a "gaming" laptop. It only gives me the disk write error message when I try to push play. It says "updating" on the error which I'm a little confused about, maybe that's what's messing me up, and is there a way to not have it update. My other computers have been able to run this in the past and they were windows 10, so i don't know why this wouldn't work too. All the things I looked up to try to fix didn't help because I haven't even got it to download or so it says but then has "7.2/7.2GB" on the download manager so idk what's going on.
